
Alicia Blochberger (she/her) is a Senior Fellow at ImpactED. In this role, she supports the design and delivery of applied research, evaluation, and capacity-building projects that help public and nonprofit organizations build data-informed cultures and strengthen their impact. Drawing on her background in leadership, strategic planning, and systems thinking, Alicia is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations use data to improve outcomes and better serve their communities.
Alicia began her career as a commissioned communications officer in the United States Marine Corps, where she led teams across multiple continents and worked alongside partners such as USAID and NATO. After 12 years of active-duty service, she transitioned to the Reserves, where she continues to serve, supporting recruiting and mentorship initiatives. Her military experience instilled in her a deep commitment to public service, equity, and team development.
Alicia holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from San Francisco State University. A proud Californian now based in Delaware, she enjoys playing the alto saxophone and walking Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields with her husband and son.
